Day 1 When I landed first in Switzerland π¨π 10 years ago I didn’t discover that it’s more convenient and save a lot of Swiss francs if you only buy pass alloyed for your journey and holiday This time I bought 15 days Swiss travel pass so I will not be in trouble at least when I ride the public transport there. Rather than buying expensive train tickets for bus and trains which varies from 3.50 Swiss francs to 10 to 15 Swiss francs depends on your destination and mode of travel sport
In my first day I landed during my trip from Zurich International Airport I know that it’s handy and not hassle to catch my train on time with my Swiss travel Pass. You need to activate it everyday when travelling by bus , boat and train so you are not in trouble with inspectors and authorities a penalty of 60 Swiss franc if you will be caught using expired tickets
Bear in mind that if you stay in hotels there is tourist tax of 3.50 francs per person per day and 1 Swiss francs every time you use the train washroom or WC
Since Switzerland π¨πis a small country where applicable distance of Calgary and Edmonton There are lots of places to see and wonderful place to eat and stay .
The train travel pass is valid only from 1 month when you purchase it in my case I bought 15 day travel pass for 500$. Expensive though! Everything in Switzerland π¨π is expensive so you have to bring more money if you buy souvenirs mugs T-shirt’s calendars chocolates Swiss knife and etc..
There are fast foods in Luzern just outside the tunnel of trains station from the left is Birger King and in other sides walking distance are Starbucks McDonald’s and other fancy restaurants shops stores like Migros and Coop and many others Mostly under tunnel train station are lots of food stalls and convenience stores where you can buy breads coffee shops souvenirs groceries and many others .Check conversion first before paying
